I know that CHI is a special critter in it’s own category, but if other states can have less Draconian gun laws without half of the problems that IL has, then I don’t see why the rest of the state can’t. If things such as the never enforced enhanced penalties for having a modified/ stolen firearm were, maybe it would make a difference. But like the no gun zone signs, they are merely a source of amusement to criminals.
The goal of gun laws isn’t to stop crime, it is to punish conservative voters like us. Only when you accept that the Democrat majority hates you, wants to put you in prison, wants you to leave the state, does it all starts to make sense. It is a necessary premises to accept that Springfield hates straight white men, and every piece of legislation flows from that. The handful of straight white men in Springfield now are feeding the us to the aligators hoping they, as straight white men, are eaten last.

Long terms in prison solves a lot of problems because the problems are sitting in a steel box for 40 or 50yrs or more. Go in when you are 18 and walk out when you’re 70 would send a message.
