None of my 3 kids EVER darkened the doorway of a public school or college in IL. The bloviating claptrap Ms Godbout is just the latest example why.

So sad. Your compelled property taxes facilitate her agenda using your children as her Guinea Pigs.

There ought to be a special place in Hell for her.

This is the kind of warped ignorant pig that radical teachers colleges are vomiting out and putting into the classroom

Folks, you really have to get your kids out of the public schools even if you have to home school them. Their future (and your old age) depends on it.

Once again, don’t confuse the public school system with education. It’s a government enforced union jobs program.

Crete Monee High School:
Reading proficiency 21%
Math proficiency 13%
Graduation rate 95%

Heather Godbout and her fellow teachers are saving the community from the dire effects of actually learning anything. Keep fending off that dangerous Christian Nationalist theocracy!

And taxpayers- divert any and all funds to pensions so that Ms Godbout will get what she was promised when she retires. She is covered by a unique contract under which only one of the parties must fulfill their contractual duties.

My local high school district went woke about 6 or 7 years ago. The math/reading proficiency rates dropped from the 60’s into the 30’s during the same time period. The more woke they got, the more scores dropped. In the private sector, seven straight years of declining performance would mean mass firings and reform from the top down to the bottom. Not my local school district. What did they do? The Board renewed the administrators’ contracts and doubled-down on the woke, and patted themselves on the back for doing so great! They said they are 100% committed to going even… Read more »

They’re all like this. The superintendents are 100% woke, the Board members pray to the Cult of Equity, the school book publishers are hateful anti-religious bigots.

I don’t understand this teacher. If she is persuaded of the righteousness of her cause, then she should be able to demonstrate that her methods improve student performance. Like it or not that is the purpose of her job. The best way to poke holes in the so-called Christian menace is to show superior results. Of course, Ms. Godbout would quibble with this, as her aim to build better citizens of the world and that somehow objective measures are racist or reflective of one phobia or another. But this better citizen thing cannot happen without basic academic proficiency. Dwayne Betts,… Read more »

It is astounding that teachers and the education establishment cannot see how destructive their obsession with virtue signaling is.

How do they expect to collect the taxes that will fund their pensions from these students that they have failed so miserably? You’d think that pure self-interest would motivate them to figure out how to teach these children.

“The bulk of those who post here just say fine, I’ll make sure I keep my kids or grandchildren away from these kind of environments”

This environment is coming to every school. It’s come to my school district and it’s full of upper middle class families. My school’s reading and writing proficiency has been dropping quite a bit these past few years and the school board pats itself on the back for being anti-racist.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
