What percentage of SNAP beneficiaries are obese.

Only in America can you be behind someone at Aldi paying with a SNAP card… And all their kids have iPhones, Nike shoes and designer jeans, then in the parking lot you see them loading up a late model Cadillac SUV. I kid you not I see this all the time.

Food stamp abuse is just part of the larger welfare abuse going on in Illinois. It’s only been in the last few years that the state has made any effort to crack down on abuse at all. During the great recession through about halfway through Rauner’s term, all someone had to do was show up to the public aid office and they were approved. The need for documentation was often glossed over, at least from what I’ve been told.
