Illinois unemployment No. 3 in U.S. during November – Illinois Policy

That 5.3 percent unemployment rate translated into about 346,000 Illinoisans looking for work. Only California and Nevada had higher unemployment rates in November, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The national average was 4.2 percent.
