Illinois wants its universities to put a price on race – Washington Examiner

According to a complex funding formula to be laid out in the bill, colleges and universities in the Prairie State would receive $6,000 for every black or American Indian student enrolled. Hispanics don’t fetch that much — only $4,000 per student. White and Asian students don’t get any money at all.

$6,000 for a black student. $4,000 for a Hispanic student, nothing for a white or asian student. Didn’t we outlaw paying for humans of color in 1865? And you people claim that Illinois is not a slave state. It looks like it is the only one left in the Union. I don’t know if California and New York have achieved that status yet, but they are probably close behind.

Rev. Martin Luther King would be appalled – he had a dream that people would be judged on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

His dream made sense then; makes sense now.

That beautiful dream has been destroyed by the media, race hustlers, academics, politicians, and gullible citizens.

Wake up, folks!

Seems terribly racist, but that’s the point. They want to drive white people out of the state, and turn it into Venezuela.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
