Immigration agents detain a Chicago adult during school drop-off, officials say – WBEZ (Chicago)

Acero elementary school has seen a decline in typical attendance rates by as much as 4 percent since January, though Acero Chief Culture Officer Helena Stangle said in the statement they don’t know if this is fully attributable to the Trump administration’s threats of mass deportation.

Since this illegal is a repeat offender who hasn’t learned his lesson, he needs to go to prison. Then once he’s served his sentence, needs to be deported.

Not once did the article mention that it’s likely the person apprehended was a criminal. Should schools be concerned that children could be exposed to danger when criminals are dropping off children at school? We’ve seen more than a few kids shot while in the company of a criminal parent.

But schools prefer to sow fear of ICE.

Not every case is this way, but consider the possibility that some of these people are guardians and not parents. The articles make it sound like they are ripping a parent and child apart. Having heard this scenario from teachers, there seems to always be another “guardian” ready to step in. Assuming officials are looking into human trafficking when this happens. They don’t just yank someone into custody randomly in Chicago where activists help hide illegals, despite the media reports.

Yes, the guardian issue is a huge. Most – but not all illegal immigrants come here because they have a pre-existing support network of family, or distant relatives or even friends from their home community. That’s why they can often disappear seamlessly underground and operate for years until they get picked up for a DUI or diddling some minor living their immediate household. There’s always some cousin or second cousin to step up and sponsor the unaccompanied minor, or in many cases, the parents are here themselves, but living underground.
