The Chicago area is home to the largest Palestinian population in the United States. More than 18,000 Palestinians live in Cook County.

That there was a cease fire in Israel and Gaza on October 6, 2023, is lost on these murder apologists. Could these Trotsky-ites please let us know exactly what was progressive about Gaza on that date? Was it the looting of aid sent to the Palestinians by their now-sultanously wealthy Hamas poobahs exactly as what happens in every country that embraces socialism? Is is the inability of the residents there to properly develop any of the miles of shoreline that they were in charge of? The Soviet architecture perhaps?

Any progressive victory is a loss for civilization.

Most of the CPS high schools have a 3 or 4 block area around them that has been designated as a “gun free” zone. In fact, Fenger High School in the Roseland area is surrounded by a “nuclear bomb free” zone. That one has been successful so far! The road to hell is paved with good intentions and Chicago is well on its way!

A victory for Progressives (Communists really) is a loss for society…there’s no exceptions.

How about Chicago calling for a cease fire on its own streets…

This is one of the more idiotic things Chicago has done to waste taxpayer money. Who are they trying to appease? If the media were even slightly honest, people would know that Hamas and their partners are hiding behind the people of Gaza and using them as cannon fodder. Israel is and will rightly continue to do everything it can to protect its citizens and its country!

I wouldn’t call that a victory. I would call it an embarrassment.

Why is this a victory for progressives? I’m very conservative and I believe Israel needs to stop the killing of citizens as well. Netanyahu is the worlds biggest war criminal at this time.

You’re naively buying into the leftist’s arguments that Israel is indiscriminately killing citizens rather than eradicating a violent inbred paramilitary organization running the Gaza strip.

America has no business getting dragged into fighting Israel’s battles, they are big boys. One only needs to look beyond Fox and CNN to see the indiscriminate killing Israel is doing to kids, women and citizens. America must not partake in that killing, not a dime for Israel when our own country is literally bankrupt in more ways than one.

No dimes for anyone from U.S. taxpayers. How that.

Natanyahu was not the one who spent years indiscriminately lobbing rockets, injuring and killing innocent neighbors, that was Hamas. Netanyahu didn’t go to sleep on October 6, 2023, with a hate filled heart, ready to commit wanton acts of murder and mayhem, that was Hamas. Netanyahu didn’t storm out of Gaza, raping and killing all the way, sparing no one in their path, that was Hamas. Th sultans of Hamas (who remain bravely out of range in Jordan and Iran) thought that Israel would just stand down and take it once again. Not this time. Israel didn’t want war, that… Read more »

Here’s an article about the resolution of the cease fire which is not all wine and roses for Brandon.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
