Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

The democrats love criminals and don’t care about anything else. In recent news a drunk driver going 86 mph on south Michigan Ave, T-Boned an innocent driver after running a red light at 86mph almost in front of CPD headquarters. The drunk driver and his passenger survived with minor injuries but the occupants, 2 innocent people, were killed. In court after a detention hearing the request to keep the drunk driver in custody was denied and he was released on an ankle monitor. I can easily agree that maybe 85% of people we’d commonly call criminals would likely betray the trust returned to them by non-disclosure of criminal history. But, what about that presumed 15% or so whom non-disclosure would encourage towards attaining their successful re-entry into employment and private life generally? In short, maybe the continuation of criminal record disclosures is akin to “throwing out the baby with the bath water” by essentially ensuring such a person essentially is given a chance at a normal socio-economic life. This reminds me of when Joliet tried to house several pedophiles in a residential neighborhood near a park and a school. Until that cat got out of the bag, the deal was about 90% done with the neighbors being none the wiser.

The man is a sick narcissist. Lower crime stats…just wipe away the crime. Poor school performance…just lower the standards. More than anything, I bet he did it to hamper ICE (and thus Pres Trump) to deport ‘criminal’ illegals (look ma-no crime)! He purely hates IL citizens.
