Illinois bill would override local law to allow homeless living in all public parks – Wirepoints
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Expect no retraction or apology. This what they do.
The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.
Why don’t these friggin lawmakers provide a tax break for actual tax payers? How about a property tax break for property owners in Illinois vs. a $100K tax break for teen agers trying out for professional sports. The average tax payer in Illinois so taken for granted by the government and elected officials…it is sickening.
It’s not just property taxes which are ridiculous but insurance premiums for the home. I just got my bill and I needed a defibrillator and shock therapy. Still waiting for my tax bill.
Taxpayers need to unite together somehow. As single voice taxpayers we are not listened to but as a group maybe?
Please somebody explain why anyone should get a tax break for auditioning for professional sports.
Professional and college sports are opiate of the masses.
