Max Cleland came back from the service and was horribly wounded. He worked in government and actually accomplished improvements.

Duckworth comes back and is the first pig in line at the trough. She has done nothing. I honor her service and sacrifice, but as a Senator she is just another pig at the trough like the rest of the Senate.

Who does not even pay property taxes even though she earns $174k a year. My AGI is $36k, but I pay full property taxes, BUT I am subsidizing the likes of Duckie. If I ran against her, this would be my only message. BTW I served in the British Army in the Falklands War in 1982 but do not qualify for an exemption.

As if Taiwan doesn’t have enough trouble, Duckworth goes over there to waste their time. She’s a brain drain wherever she goes.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
