José Torres, a longtime educator and former superintendent of Elgin’s public schools, is expected to lead CPS for about one month as the search for Janet Jackson’s permanent replacement continues. Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been adamant that Torres is not a candidate for the position long-term.

It’s probably a good job. Good pay! If it goes sideways just blame Lori. If it’s a catastrophe her fingerprints will be all over the wreckage. She like a little kid who wants to push the button on the wall. She can “not “wreck something. Hmmmm might have something there?
