Sorry, but Italian-Americans aren’t part of SJW mandate. Chicago truly missed its opportunity to capitalize on tourism potential of its Roaring 20s/Mob history.

Two Mayor Daleys were appalled by “Al Capone” legacy, and consistently tamped-down any effort to memorialize it. Yet when I’ve travelled in Central Europe, any mention I was from Chicago, resulting in same response: “Al Capone! – ditditditdit” (tommy-gun noise).

Italians will always be POC to me, especially the southern ones. And I’m OK with that because I’m a little bit Italian every day, not just on Sunday!

Will never happen. Lori reports to the blm terrorists who demanded the removal of the statues with alderman Sophia King and the Grant Park Advisory group headed by Leslie Recht. These three gave into terrorists and all that happened was that crime became worse. It’s obvious that the looters, burners, carjackers, and phony community activists control Chicago.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
