‘It’s Been Hard Opposing Barack Obama’ – Politico

As the legal fight continues to play out ahead of a scheduled groundbreaking for the Obama Presidential Center this fall, it is shining a spotlight on Obama’s surprisingly complicated legacy in Chicago — and on the even more complicated political and community dynamics in an overwhelmingly liberal, yet deeply divided city.

“It’s hard opposing Obama (Center)”, because it’s a Chicago Machine-styled “done-deal”, a political whole-fat cheesecake dessert, gifted to satisfy political donors, complete with Miss Jarrett as Obama’s “sundae’s cherry-top” treat. Chicago voters have ZERO input, ZERO impact, ZERO ability to affect this monument to hubris and political clout.

And no, I’m not a Trump supporter, just a disappointed and disillusioned long-time Chicago resident. Chicago shouldn’t have granted this “gimme” give-away of Chicago Park District public park land.

Why the declaration of “not a Trump supporter”?
That was not even relevant! Please.

Legacy in Chicago? When will these goofs get it? He is NOT a CHICAGOAN… Never has been, never will. His ties here are about as strong as Hilldogs were in NY…

Best thing that could happen is they move the library to Hawaii or to one of the campus’s where they hide his college transcripts.

It sad how people cling to him as some ideal… Ideal example of grift….
