Jim Edgar: There’s only one issue now – Politico

“This will motivate both sides but it’s probably going to help Democrats most by motivating their base,” Edgar said. “It will have a huge impact, and I don't know that it will be good. It’s going to be a one-issue campaign” in statehouse and congressional campaigns.

Jim Edgar. What a dope.

You have to have big cojones to talk about anything after contributing to the downfall of an entire state as Edgar did. Stop putting quarters into this guy, we’ve had enough of his “insight”.

Edgar…the inventor of the infamous “Edgar Ramp” could be attributed as being the grandfather of Illinois pension funding and that pretty much says it all right there.

He’s wrong. As the S+P 500 melts away and inflation continues to crush people, abortion won’t be on the ballot for the majority.

There is a group of individuals that purchase billings not paid to vendors owed by the State at a very good discounted rate and Jim’s in there with the group. Edgar is no different than any other Democrat and perhaps worse as he collects assorted funds from the State. Like so many, just wish he would go away.

Jim Edgar is the poster child of IL RINOS. The go-along-get-along fake republicans who sold out the Illinois taxpayers in exchange for Mike Madigan’s table scraps and a self delusional appearance of relevance. Much of the Illinois financial mess is the result Jim Edgars idiocy. A pox on him. Shut yer yapper Edgar and enjoy your pension.

Better check to polls, Mr. Edgar. Only Dem base is worked up about this. Dems will suffer further with Latinos, who they already lost and who don’t like Roe.

Edgar’s been out of politics so long he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. And from his advice he’s clearly switched over to the Democrat party. He’s talking like some pollster now but he is clueless. Most actual pollsters think that it’s not going to move the needle at all, and we musn’t confuse a loud, vocal and obnoxious Moloch worshiping minority with the enthusiasm of the general populace, most of whom live in Blue States where infanticide is already legal. If anything, this Roe overturning will embolden conservatives who feel like we are winning, bigly, and will push forth… Read more »

Jim Edgar was worthless as tits on 4 bulls, a true know nothing hayseed stuffed into a suit. Edgar’s incompetency started us on this path to destruction, he was a mere puppet, with the combine pulling the strings.

Clueless. But if I were getting 3 public pensions, I might also be.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
