John Kass: It Was Lawless Chicago Politics That Killed CPD Officer Aréanah Preston

"Aréanah Preston’s family did everything that a close knit loving family is expected to do. They told their children of the many possibilities in life, not the reasons for failure. They were involved. Preston was days away from graduating with a Masters Degree in criminal justice from Loyola University Chicago. But no matter how hard her parents worked to encourage her, political Chicago was encouraging her alleged killers."

THIN BLUE LINE: Race Grifter/Cop Hater Johnson Says Murder Of Police Officer, And Police Shooting Death Of Armed Teen Gang Member, Are The Same Thing – Fox News

Completed justified to blame Preckwinkle, Fox, and Evans for Preston’s murder. Her blood is on their hands. Too bad black voters don’t recognize the significant negative impact so-called progressive “social justice” policies have on black communities, on middle-class black families and low-income families who aspire to middle-class lifestyle and promote those class values to their children. Far too much celebration of “gansta” lifestyle in media and social media and popular music. Far too many excuses for anti-social behaviors and inherently criminal actions of young POC adults by progressive politicians who “don’t walk the talk” and steadfastly isolate themselves from any… Read more »

Crime a Factor in Citadel’s Move Out of ChicagoCitadel officials cited crime as one critical reason for the move. According to a report, over the last few years, there have been multiple incidents involving Citadel employees. Ken Griffin himself experienced an attempted carjacking, a Citadel employee was stabbed while walking to work, and there have been numerous reports of shootings, riots, and looting near some employees’ homes.

Same thing in San Fran and Portland to name a few. Many long time businesses are closing and moving out. Chicago and these other cities will and do look like the aftermath in The Walking Dead series. https://naturalnews.com/2023-04-19-27-most-murderous-cities-run-by-democrats.html

The democrat voting crowd from Chicago/Cook County will never see the light of what an absolute destructive group the democratic party is. Those voters won’t change, they can’t because they have been told for generations that anything thing other than the democrats is wrong. Stupid, uniformed, blind, head stuck up their behinds is the only way to describe them.

There is tremendous social pressure within minority communities to vote Democrat which is not present in white communities. I can’t find the study any more but some social scientist tried to measure the social pressure to conform politically within communities and found it really high with the Democrat Party and particularly high within minority communities. Imagine being the only black conservative at your neighborhood or extended family BBQ. Everyone would relentless mock you, ridicule you, and some would bad mouth you and shun you, or dis-invite you entirely if they found out you supported Trump or DeSantis, and accuse you,… Read more »

Some of my friend’s sons parents are pathetic progressives, yet, they still allow their son to hang out my at house. Either they don’t know my political views (I keep them to myself living in enemy territory) or like most normal people pre-2016, it’s possible to realize that keeping your politics to yourself makes for better neighbors. And not to brag, but my son is basically an alpha-male, with conservative views, tall, excels in school and on MAP tests, is on two sports teams, etc. Most sane parents ultimately want their children to hang around good kids, even if their… Read more »

What on earth are you talking about? Last time I checked, voting booths were private.

Debtsor, my family members think I’m a whack job and shun me too. Don’t take it so hard.

Yes, but if your family is like my family, you have both liberals and conservatives in your family. Most minorities communities do not have any conservatives in their family at all. Not one, at least not openly. (with exceptions, of course, like southern FL or the TX border).

There is tremendous social pressure within white white-collar college-educated social circles, here in Chicago and Cook County, to consistently support any Democratic candidate, regardless of (lack of) qualifications, to loudly embrace progressive policies (regardless of public safety and/or cost concerns), to forcefully disagree with all conservative opinions, so as to maintain their standing in social network of like-minded friends and work colleagues.

Many progressive friends have noted they now only maintain friendships with like-minded folks, shun former friends with conservative opinions on “woke” issues.

Sure, but your white pathetic progressive friends at least know conservatives, and have conservative family members. And the progressive shunning isn’t changing their conservative friend’s minds to vote differently. My family has both conservative and liberal members (but generally leans conservative) as does my spouses’ family. Most white families tend to have this liberal/conservative mix. Not evenly, of course, but the mix exists. My aunt that disowned me for being unvaccinated is unfortunately more common now but I have both liberal and conservative family members. In the black, brown, asian communities – there is almost no one who is conservative.… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
