John Kass: Liberal Democratic governors and mayors, mugged by reality in George Floyd fallout – RealClear Politics

"Power and violence abhor a vacuum and at the onset, Democratic governors and mayors did little if anything to stop the violence, which only encouraged the criminals. In Illinois and elsewhere, the mayors and governors backed off and watched as businesses were destroyed."

“Biden chattered on like some crazy blue jay, chirping out nonsense about teaching cops to shoot marauding criminals in the leg.
“When there’s an unarmed person, coming at him [police] with a knife or something, shoot them in the leg instead of in the heart,” Biden said. OK, Joe. Someone with a knife isn’t exactly unarmed. They’re armed, Joe. Have some more banana pudding.”

I mean, you just can’t make this stuff up!

Good to see the perpetual gaffe machine has resumed regularly scheduled programming.

I like Kass, and still think he missed the boat here. Or maybe he’s got one foot on the boat and one on the pier. He gets the larger Democrat-agenda-conundrum. I’d just like to see him apply a bit more muscle to Illinois and Chicago. Lori is well meaning, I suppose, but she talks like re-training the police is the answer. At least, that’s the pablum she feeds the crocodile that’s eating her city.

Trump’s appeal is hope. Like the answer or not, he actually talks about doing something beyond letting the City burn until it runs out of tinder.

Lori is not well-meaning. These are not Democrats anymore. They are Marxist and it is time to being calling them as such. The platform they are espousing is no longer liberal democracy with open market economics. They

Well, I was hoping to give her the benefit of the doubt. Guess I’ve been on the North Shore too long. And yup, Marxist

Marxist is a badge of honor for these people. They view all white people as evil.

Why not call them what they really are… Communists. Tail-gunner Joe had it right all along and it is about time that his actual words are re-examined.

Do you think that “Deep State” is something new? Nope, McCarthy called it almost 70 years ago and just like the current President, he was attacked by the mainstream media relentlessly for simply telling the truth.

Don’t be afraid to look at history in a way that academia says is verboten, that is even the more reason to re-examine what you have been taught.

Bingo. It’s time to sound the alarm on our enemies within. Look at what they are espousing and compare to Marxist-Stalinism. We’re being taken for a ride in a gateway to communism.

Yes but the TDS runs strong. They are trying to wear you down, trying to turn you against Trump, trying to make you question your 2016 vote. The swamp comes out today and goes full blown TDS and Sec. of Defense blows his gasket over the stupidest photo op ever. Mad Dog Mattis suddenly went full TDS too. Despite the fact that more than half the US wants the military involved in quelling the violence in the cities.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
