Here is one fact: Chicago police Superintendent David Brown told reporters that last year, 79 police officers were shot at, though luckily none were hit. That changed Sunday. The Chicago police officer shot Monday March 15, 2021 in the Calumet Heights neighborhood suffered a major injury.
