"Judge Martin’s story does come to us from the one place Chicagoans understand: the Department of Special Places in Hell. Martin is the former judge convicted of swindling an elderly Tuskegee Airman, Mr. Wilkerson, of his life savings. He found out about it after Judge Martin—who had his power of attorney to look out for him and pay his nursing home bills—stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from him. She blew it on bitcoin."
I hate to contradict Kass, but in reality Martin is only slightly worse than the judges that let repeat felons out on a promise to “ do better “, repeatedly. Judge David Kelly leads that category; remember that at re- election time now that the godfather of the SafeT Act mess Evans is mercifully gone.

😮 Interesting seeing the thumbs down on the first 2 posts! Seems Satan and his demons read WIREPOINTS too! I never knew this! 🤔
And they don’t have the courage of their convictions to post a reply let alone one based in fact, logic and common sense.

What would happen if you stole $300k from Boss Toni? We don’t know, but we know what happened when a guy threw a Big Gulp on Kim Foxx. Felony conviction.
A judge who steals from a Tuskegee airman gets probation and keeps her pension.
Sure. The voters elected a states attorney and other politicians that selectively enforce the law. Those voters don’t seem too concerned about these issues as they keep electing bad leaders. Until those voters make better decisions, we can expect more of the same. As usual, I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for you. Some people just lack basic intellect to comprehend the most simple of issues while others purposely remain ignorant. I have a good idea which camp you fall under but the end result remains the same.
Does it occur to you that people actually vote on politicians believing in their pre- election hype and are then dismayed when the truth comes out? Or that those continually voting for the same failed people are being bribed in one way or another? To think that people are willfully choosing the same thing over and over again without any personal gain is laughable. What would the outcome be if we were actually allowed to vote on sanctuary status, gas taxes, the putrid SafeT Act, etc? Quite different I’d wager- which is why they are rubber stamped into law in… Read more »
“Does it occur to you that people actually vote on politicians believing in their pre- election hype and are then dismayed when the truth comes out?” Of course. A politician promises the world and tells you the other guy will pay for it. The NYC Mayoral race was a prime example. Now the new mayor has to pay for everything even though the state won’t let him charge the “rich”. Who is at fault for believing such a ridiculous lie? Are the voters that dumb that they couldn’t tell the campaign promises were hollow and they voted for the candidate… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Tell me again about “the voters”.
