The order also includes a public apology from the city “for the historical wrongs committed against Black Chicagoans and their ancestors who have and continue to bear injustices,” according to text from the executive order.

Thank the Lord. Finally Chicago is going to address this issue. The $500k cost of this commission/study group/boondoggle will really be well spent. Let’s see the results or report or whatever showing the real value of this $500k. And let’s all thank he taxpayers of Chicago for chipping in to fund this top priority project– while teenagers and children are shot on the streets, wild gangs run all over Grant Park, and intersection takeovers destroy neighborhoods every weekend. 500k divided by the 15 people in the photo is about 35 k for each and that’s as far as the money will go. Just another grift by the most privileged class in town.
Nope. None of my family were in the US during slavery. All came to this country with nothing and had to learn English…. Or, is Mayor Johnson declaring all are not created equal and, as such, in their deficicieny, they need help?
