Johnson likens himself to second coming of Harold Washington – Chicago Sun-Times

Saying he’s spent “20 times” more to improve and “re-populate” South and West Side neighborhoods than he has anywhere else, the mayor said he was “grateful” to “stand on the shoulders of incredible leaders” like Harold Washington and Eugene Sawyer who “made it possible for me to be in this position. ... Of course, we’re gonna need more time to ensure that we not only plant these seeds, but the roots set up deeply so that it can sustain us for generations to come."

Mayor Cliff Notes, I remember Harold Washington.

You’re no Harold Washington.

Or the great Harold Baines.

Not even Harold’s Chicken Shack.

The only ‘Harold’ you might be is the herald of disaster for Chicago.

Hmmmm……Does BJ wear a dress like Harold did? Remember the City Council frantic outrage and tyrannical censorship at the art institute kid who dared to feature their sacred messiah in a painting wearing a dress?

To “stand on the shoulders” is not to equate same stature.

Brandon Johnson is another functionally-illiterate CPS teacher, with scant political experience as a former county board member handpicked by Preckwinkle. He prides himself as a CPS teacher who rarely assigned homework, stating he focused on “student self-esteem”. Wonder how many of his former students can read, write, and do math at 8th grade level

Based upon what I read I am not sure Johnson “can read, write, and do math at 8th grade level” himself much less teach it.

What will Brandon do about abortions? He mentions repopulate in the West and South sides but Illinois does not allow statistics for abortions by race. Look at the chart to see how many more abortions occurred in 2023 than 2022.

So sad Fred. Some day we’ll look on millions of aborted black kids like we do about the Holocaust.

Abortion is baby murder, of course, but I’m just sick and tired of fighting Democrats over it. I tell Democrats to their face that it pleases me to know they are killing their progeny, nearly all of whom will be trans or Democrat. I tell them that the world becomes a better place with fewer trans and Democrats in it and they should abort as many of their children as they can, so that Republicans can have lots of children and repopulate the country without the need for more third-world immigrants (of all races, colors or creeds).

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
