Jeannie Ives radio show hit the nail on the head last night 11/19/23 with the Edgar County Watchdog group and what they found out about this corrupt Gotion plant and the dirty politicians involved with the back room deals. She will be there tomorrow as stated, listen to what has been found out if Ms. Ives speaks about the mysterious application process and approval’s long before they (politicians) went before the state.

A complete waste of time and money. The plant is going to be built. Politicians DO NOT CARE about you the taxpayers. Shut up and pay your taxes. Mark and wire points is giving them false hope.

The plant will not be built. Not because of anything we do. But because China is in the early stages of a completely foreseeable decades long economic depression, and the pie in the sky “build things around the world’ phase is rapidly ending. To get the tax credits on a purchase of a EV the car must be made in the USA. It is going to be built, if not there somewhere else. Lots of good jobs for decades to come. Businesses are fleeing Illinois for good reason, they should be arms wide open for a plant like this.

So you think creating jobs at a cost to taxpayers of over $3 million per job is a smart investment. Got it.

Not a good investment, that is why it will happen. Governments job is to waste taxpayer money. No one wastes more money than government. Should not care about the waste as it is going to happen there or somewhere else. Be happy they are wasting it in Illinois and the jobs are created in Illinois. Illinois needs jobs so badly.
Talking about a waste of money, look at the CPS, Billions over the years have been wasted.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
