Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

What is the “right”,or”left” that you speak of? This is a creation of the media and the oligarchs who fund “movements”, that most of the public disagree with vehemently. There’s the media and the Ivory Tower, and the corporate boards, and then there’s the rest of us. They do not speak for us. This is all a con.

Both liberal and conservative factions seek to manipulate opinion through appeal to emotions. Anyone who knows the history of the takeover of Palestine by the Zionist movement (Irgun) cannot avoid the conclusion that Israel is founded on very shaky moral ground. Many compassionate Jewish voices have been silenced.
I disagree with the article, for it seems to miss the point that the Leftist Democrat party is now pro-terrorist and thus also antisemitic. Yet Jewish people continue to largely support the Leftist Democrats. I suspect that like with many Black Americans, this is due to a form of ‘Stockholm Syndrome’. I as a conservative observed really gross antisemitic behavior after the Obama came along, from my well-to-do lifelong Chicago Democrat in-laws. maybe not a different historical outcome, but different honorable end-of-life memories for those who self-segregated from those whom we believe to be evil.
It’s more that the culturally but secular jewish people have far left liberal beliefs, and by aligning wit those beliefs, they’ve made their lot with the far left, whom has always been antisemetic. Maybe it’s time for all Americans to self-segregate, away from ‘the other half’ who openly express hatred and distrust of ‘us’.
Isn’t that’s exactly what’s happening with all the interstate migration for political and tax reasons? All the flight from CA, IL, NY and others is a form of self-segregation, and my sense is that it’s accelerating.
yes. real estate prices in TN indicate you are correct. But a more efficient mechanism would be to openly discuss a non-violent separation into 2 Americas (a la Europe pre European Union). Divide by States (via voter record preferences, ‘net payer’ logs and State gdp.). Joint custody of Insterstate Hwys and certain waterways. Border enforcements to be decided by America 2.0.1 and America 2.0.2 Armed Forces, civil and criminal Codes would be newly enacted by each new America. They tried that when the British in 1947 partitioned India into Bangladesh and Pakistan. The English believed that, by golly, the partition would be orderly and administrative much like waiting for the queue at the supermarket. Except it didn’t work out that way, as minority population in both countries had to immediately flee with their homes as roving bands of the majority populations, on both sides, began killing the minority populations.
