Judges deny requests in McHenry, DuPage, Cook for restaurants to keep indoor service despite state order amid COVID-19 spike – Chicago Tribune*

In McHenry County, the judge ruled that because the governor predicated his order on the rate of positive COVID-19 tests in the county exceeding 8% for three days straight, the order was new and different from the prior executive orders Pritzker issued going back to March.

DuPage Judge is Bonnie Wheaton she is an excellent judge. Judges do not run for re election they run for retention. Once they are elected in a general election they only run for retention. and to think any judge elected in DuPage County is a puppet of a Democrat is beyond belief. Until 2018 there never was one Democrat elected in the history of DuPage County. That is going back to 1818 people.

Sad part is that if a judge loses the retention vote they are then usually appointed to a judgeship by county executives to fill the so called vacant spot and the losing judge goes back to the same courtroom.

I bet all the mail in balloters and early voters have some regrets now, just vote no for all judges. Madigan has to go some how some way.

These are not laws. Therefore it is up to the entity to decide if they want to serve.
These are “emergency” rulings. These ruling were legal for a bit of time but they have been non binding since that time months ago.
Send him the bills that you have as he has all sorts of money and he is getting paid by the citizens of Illinois no matter what.

The Chicago Tribune article printed the McHenry County judges name but not the Cook County judges names.
Does anyone know the names of the Cook County Judges?
If so, please post here.
Are they up for Re-Election? If so, These Judges, need to GO!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
