Makes no difference. DEMS will win in Illinois.

Stratton is about as in demand as a backup player was for Cal Ripkin, Jr.

The mendacious Illinois Democrat thieves are grooming a leftist loon to ascend the Durbin throne.

This is news how?

And what possible legitimate qualifications does she have other than DEI certification?

I know her only from her loudly expressed personal joy at legalized dope sales.

We need a GOP member in the Senate.

With lots of democrat voters in Cook County expect the suffering to continue, they are a special kind of stupid

Well, after all, she is so highly qualified. How about her impressive education credentials. All those standout governmental achievements. And the leadership roles she has taken on all the significant issues facing Illinois today. Just think– with her and Tammie in the US Senate, what a powerful one-two punch Illinois will have. Get read for another barrage of racism, sexism and phony tv ads. Scary to think about, eh?

Her credentials is that she is a minority woman, what more do you need? She’ll get dang near 2.35 million votes to [insert ANY Republican here] 1.65 million votes. If Republicans want to win this race, they’ll need to capture *every* Trump vote from 2024 – all 2,449,079 of them – and likely a few more on top of that too, because that’s STILL 30,000 voters fewer than JB got in 2018 when he destroyed Rauner (who by the way only lost 70,000 votes from 2014 to 2018). Put another way, for a Republican to win a senate seat, they… Read more »

And there is it. Durbin is being driven out of office as an old, out of touch white man, and the Black woman is primed to take over. JB’s financial backing is significant. That’s how JB gets his ground game injected into the Illinois 2026 races where he magically finds 800,000 straight ticket Democrats ballots that hadn’t shown up in any mid-term race since we first elected a governor during a mid-term races in 1978 and ensure no state-wide Republican gets elected. JB likely won’t run for governor again as he prepares for a presidential flop in 2028. Now they… Read more »

Durbin never had much standing even amongst local Democratic politicians. Daley Admin thought he was a dipshit “Durbin the Turbin” – direct quote.

Yet he’s won ever race he’s ran in and had 3,278,930 votes in 2020. He’s a formidable opponent.

Well who could have figured this one out, I’m willing to bet Stratton and Pritzker know Durbin isn’t going to run, I mentioned before Pritzker would be her backer why else would she run, she doesn’t have that kind of money. So, it also reveals that Pritzker will run for governor again.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
