“I was elected and took an oath as your sheriff to enforce the laws and protect your constitutional rights,” Sheriff Dwight Baird said. “The governor’s executive order is not a law.”

That goes double for those in the Illinois National Guard.

Remember, claiming that “I vas only followinc orders” is not a legal defense for having done so.
