Kim Foxx touts accomplishing her ‘mission’ as Cook County state’s attorney: ‘No one drove me out of this job’ – Chicago Sun-Times

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx speaks Tuesday at a meeting of the Leaders Network at the Columbus Park Refectory.“I had a job to do, a mission to serve, and I believe I accomplished that mission,” she said. She boasted about shifting her office’s focus from low-level crimes to violent cases. When she took office in 2016, Foxx said her office’s most common charge was shoplifting. She raised the threshold for felony shoplifting from $300. Now her office’s most-charged offense is gun possession. She said her office prosecuted 90% of carjacking cases brought to her office; the problem, she said, was that only 12 people were arrested for every 100 carjackings.

Cabrini Kim has succeeded in one area, destroying an already corrupt so called justice system.

If failure is the measure, you have done fantastically well. Single-handedly, you, Foxxy, have set this city back in its development.

Has anyone ever seen “No one drove me out of this job” on a resume? This woman is insane.

The truly vexing question here is why is Kim stepping down. She would’ve waltzed into reelection easily. What Bonanza awaits this Nitwit? Surely there’s more damage to be done to the system. Very interested to she where she lands.

2nd news report in 2 days: Michelle Obama up for last-minute nomination at Aug convention, replaces Biden as 2024 Dem candidate. She gets to skip entire 2024 primary campaign exercise. Floor vote after Joe removed from contention.

Michelle’s former chief-of-staff had Kim on speed-dial during Smollett fiasco; clearly they’re affiliated pals. Newsome just distraction. Clintons sidelined by recent disclosure of Epstein’s pedo-client list – “Bill likes them young”.

News certainly not boring anymore. Anyone reading Whitney Webb’s two-volume book “One Nation Under Blackmail”? Plenty of stuff on Clintons, Pritzkers, Epstein, Maxwells, and yes, Obamas.

does it really matter who they run when they control the ballot boxes?
there is too much at stake for those in power to allow a fair election – anywhere.

Truth in Cook County

Wike Lightfoot began and Conehead continues to handcuff the effectiveness of our Police force with ridiculous policies / procedures, no one has enabled the crime surge in Chicago more than Kim Foxx. And the effects will last for many years as many good prosecutors have left in disgust under her leadership. She can live in her fantasy land, but is obviously singing How Great Thou Art to herself. Going to take more than just prayers for Chicago to recover from the civic and economic destruction she has wrought.

Kim Foxx presented her magical solutions that fit in quite well with the extremism that seemingly describes Illinois politics these days. The Illinois voters are the foundational cause for tolerating this nonsense and ironically are the consequential victims of it as well.

Remember the video of the gang gun battle on the street? No one charged as they were “mutual combatants”

Ms. Foxx should leave law practice and government altogether when her term finally expires, if not outright prosecuted for her willful dereliction of duty and demonstrated incompetence; she is directly responsible for skyrocketing crime rates in Chicago.

That’s what the Soros backed DA in St Louis did after being driven out – hard to find a law firm corrupt enough to employ an incompetent hack.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
