Sorta like the 60% “temporary” income tax increase in 2011 under Dem Governor Pat Quinn that they promised would sunset after two years.

A never ending gasoline tax. Get that part, never ending, and yet voters who chose the D lever simply can’t see what the democrats are doing to the middle class. Tax after tax after tax, I guess the middle classes must bear the burden to support the illegal alien invasion.

No one can blame a Republican in Illinois or the nation these days. Having Democrats control everything gives the R party a blessing in disguise. Screws the working man but that’s OK the Democrats have never been the working man’s party, they are only making billionaires that control from top side but they point fingers claiming Republicans are the rich. The rich in America are Democrats and don’t kid yourself, they are the true capitalists.

It’s not so much a blessing in disguise as much as the Democrats will drive this car right off the cliff, and not a single person in charge seems to care. Most in fact want to intentionally drive the car off the cliff believing it is the way to destroy a culture seeped in discriminatory ‘-ism’s’. 50 years from now, absent some white swan event that revitalizes Illinois, this place will be a dumpy backwater. Its been 50 years since Detroit’s and Baltimore’s collapse and there’s no silver lining, no sunshine on the horizon, no phoenix rising from the ashes.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
