Lawsuits with Trump administration stretching Illinois attorney general’s resources – Capitol News IL

Kwame RaoulIllinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said the volume of litigation has become so intense, he would like to add new attorneys who would focus solely on litigation battling the Trump administration. And while he admits the cost of those cases is stretching the resources of his office, he is not yet ready to ask lawmakers for additional funding to cover those costs.

Just what every citizen of Illinois wants their tax dollars spent on, said no one ever.

Since they are not prosecuting criminals, I think they would have plenty of attorneys on staff with free time on their hands.

I do not want my tax dollars spent for this, especially since IL is running on a deficit.

The latest ‘work of (Kwame’s) life’ is to spend funds forcibly taken from taxpayers on governing against the will of the people. Illinois is run by complete shameless buffoons.

This is an important part of the Prtizker for President 2028 Campaign. This is political contributions from all the taxpayers of Illinois to garner national media spotlight on Jabba. JB needs to solidify himself as the most progressive politician in America and as the No1 opposition to Trump.

Well, he wasn’t exactly busting the budget investigating governmental corruption in Illinois.. He won’t ask for more budget but he will keep the IL legislators advised as he knows they will see the need to increase his budget for him.

Is it really Raoul’s job to take our tax dollars and use them to politically interfere with national politics?

Yes, yes it is. It’s barely been reported but 22 blue state AG’s, including Illinois, signed a secret pact with a non-disclosure, to cooperate and coordinate litigation with each other to provide #Resistance to Trump.

Trump 2.0 is the Dems worst nightmare. If the Illinois AG runs out of cash they will have to stop suing Trump. (go ahead and laugh here) One way to save money would be to just follow the law.

Gonna lose everyone of these frivolous actions, and sooner than they think. Democrats have nothing, and DOGE is looking for the skeletons now. Gonna be real tough for some people.

To paraphrase Zero , stolen elections have consequences. If the D’s had not stolen the election in 2020 all of this would probably not be happening.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
