There is no such thing as Gun violence. There is violence committed with a gun, but guns are inanimate objects that can do nothing by themselves.

Please address your comments to the Amish community that is responsible for 90% of the gun violence. Dont you dare lecture me a gun owning, white, home owning, tax paying, employed, NRA member who has never done a robbery or a drive by shooting. Address your comments to those responsible and those responsible for not prosecuting criminals because they are black (ahem, Kimmy Foxx).

Durbin and Pritzker? Expecting them to actually cause plausible solutions to be implemented? It’s not April Fools Day yet, but the fools have already arrived.

If Dickie Durbin is involved, don’t expect much of anything, except more hot air.

I seriously doubt that Do Nothing Durbin could hit one hand with the other to actually applaud. The man is the definition of incompetence.

Maybe they should condemn households where there isn’t any parenting being done – households where there are no standards, values, and expectations… To be honest, I am stunned it took the criminals so long to realize destroying their own communities doesn’t make sense when one can hop on the Red Line and in 15 minutes have your run of what used to be the Mag Mile… Or the super “CarMax” known as Oak Brook Shopping Center where luxury cars are available for the price of a small firearm… Dear Liberal Morons, poverty doesn’t drive crime, criminals do. There are any… Read more »

And yet the moment anyone tries to criticize the criminal lifestyle, it’s nothing but blow back and “you put yourselves in my shoes” and “society keeps me down”. it’s now become offensive for society to expect citizens to follow the law. because equity or something.

The reality is that the laws and morals of man no longer matter; only the morals of god. We can only demand that society comply with god’s laws because our leaders have no inclination to enforce the laws of man.

Is Pigster going to follow the science and data on this?

Public health crisis translated means that no one will be held accountable, neither the perpetrators nor the justice system that lets them continue the mayhem. There will, however, be lots of studies and funds invested in the valiant effort to address the “root causes” of the crisis.

I have already figured out the root causes. Could it be that a small portion of chicago’s residents are evil criminals?

Everything is turning into a health crisis, Pritzker should look in his own mirror.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
