“When Governor Pritzker came into office, the error rate was 5.73 percent, which is under the 6 percent that the federal government is going to be requiring now,” Illinois House Minority Leader Tony McCombie said. “Under JB Pritzker's administration, it's at 11.56. And this could end up costing Illinois $700 [million] to $800 million.”
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
