Please please please pass this legislation Illinois Democrats. Please do it. Please please please please. If you think that the soda pop tax was bad policy this will make that silly ploy seem like child’s play. This absurd and silly law will guarantee a complete republican take-over of the Illinois house, senate and governorshp in the 2022 elections. Let freedom ring. I will drive to Indiana with multiple 5 gallon gas containers for the duration of this silly law and not pay for a cent of gasoline in Illinois. Seriously, get with it Lilly how many more gas stations do you want to put out of business. Bad enough stations are struggling to survive now especially the business owners near the border of other states. The totally disgusting gas tax that was raised to 39 cents and now local county’s adding more on top of that. Stations would have to pay 10 to 12 dollars a hour for someone to pump gas. That cost will be added on to the pump price and goods sold inside the stations. Jesus man get your head out of your ass.

$10 an hour? It’s going up to $15.00 in less than 48 months. Lilly is just using the government to create well paid, unionized, Democrats jobs for POC. And of course, after these jobs are created, and unionized, the union will donate $$$ into Lilly’s campaign coffers.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
