With the police petrified of doing actual police work, and Kim “turn em loose” Foxx letting criminals go ASAP, this is going to get real ugly as hot weather sets in. Maybe the city can get some extra gambling revenue by setting an over/under line for weekend shootings. Silver linings Lori!
Yes, apparently to Lightfoot, 60 people shot during a warm June weekend is perfectly normal situation. Lightfoot wants Chicagoans to think Chicago has an “optics” media-portrayal problem, while she continues to deny city’s significant “rampant crime” problem. Denial of facts comes naturally to a liar like Lori, who must be worried big-time about her re-election prospects; note Biden hasn’t offered her a Fed job yet. Lol, yea OK Lori! Everything is fine! She’s got one of her ace analysts indicating killings are down compared against tons of road salt used by streets and san. More brilliant thinking.
She cleared things up by stating, “I meant to say shootings are down in MY neighborhood. If the rest of chicago had their homes ringed by dozens of police officers, like I do, then shootings in their neighborhoods would be down too. Don’t forget all of these shootings are Trump’s and Rauner’s fault.”
