Lightfoot Says Rittenhouse Judge ‘Put His Thumb on the Scale’ During Murder Trial – NBC5 (Chicago)

“I’m an old trial lawyer, and I know when I see a judge putting his thumb on a scale for a particular result, I was not at all surprised,” she said. “Did he do well excluding evidence, not allowing the deceased to be called victims, not letting certain things go?”

The little turd just can’t keep her/his/it’s piehole shut. She/him/it is a cancer on society with her/his/it’s flip flopping partisan political rants. Pound sand Lightweight!

Take the log out of your own eye Lori before you criticize. Chicago’s bullets are rarely flying in the purpose of self defense.

More than 5,000 shot every year, more than 600 killed, major shopping areas looted and left ruined! She should remain quiet!

Isn’t Lori, an active Illinois, held to a higher ethical standard, by which she is not allowed to disparage the credibility of the judicial system? She’s basically saying this particular judge did things to purposely affect the outcome and knocks the credibility of the judiciary. Someone please report her to the IL bar or ILDFR that regulates lawyers.

The Judge didn’t tell Kyle’s lawyers tell the jury that Rosenbaum was a convicted pedophile, Huber was a convicted domestic abuser, and Grosskreutz was a convicted criminal himself too. None of this was introduced in evidence. If I were on a jury and learned these things, heck, I’d be giving Kyle a medal.

Legal Lightweight Lightfoot is still paid by former law firm, where her legal incompetence caused her to be asked to resign. Think about that, she’s now our mayor, protected by army of CPD officers, opining about “injustice”. Just saying, her BS on legal matters doesn’t hold much weight.

So Mayor Lightfoot supports prosecutorial misconduct. Good to know.

She forgot to mention the boot on the scale from the egregious behavior of the prosecution.

Let’s assume that the judge was giving leeway to the defendant. I am not sure this is the case, especially given some very troubling ethical behavior from the prosecution. But if accurate, experienced trial lawyer Lightfoot should know this is hardly unusual in a sensitive political trial. The judge wanted to avoid issues on appeal. Pretty bad form for Lightfoot to weigh in on the judge’s conduct, as if justice demands that the prosecution always get its way.

Believe Lori she has a very sharp legal mind! Vast experience in Night Court defending and prosecuting nuisance crimes, jaywalkers and sidewalk spitters were her specialty. In my opinion, I know a lawyer, the judge did his best to block the grossly sleazy prosecution from railroading the dope. Run around with an AR indicates you might be a little soft in the head. Hey Lori! You want to weigh in on Chicago? Clumsy deflection! Go hand out turkeys with Joe Camel.

Lightfoot was probably racially promoted thru college and law school. Another example of incompetence on her part. Maybe one day she can be the Amos & Andy “Calhoun” lawyer she/it wants to be.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
