Lightfoot: We’ll make a ‘far greater’ economic case for the Bears than Arlington Heights can – Daily Herald*

"The Arlington Heights mayor is kind of hedging his bets," Lightfoot said during a radio interview. "Look, of course he's interested in embracing the idea of the Bears moving there. But what will the Arlington taxpayers say? And are they able to, on their dime, raise billions -- and that's billions with a B and plural -- that it's going to take to put up a (stadium)? I'm dubious."

Lightfoot says “…I’m dubious”.
One of the definitions of dubious is “of questionable character”, so she is telling the truth, for once.

Lightfoot is f^^king clueless – Bears fans can’t wait to dump Soldier Field — most of their fan base is in the NW suburbs — why would they wan to deal with downtown traffic/crime-thugs when they can see the game in a modern field close to where they live

I’d bet most of their fanbase is in the collar county suburbs. To your point when we still lived in Ill-annoy our town was 35 miles from The Loop (and by extension, Soldier Field). Not even taking into account the skyrocketing crime, a drive into Chicago on I-55 to Lake Sh, sorry, Jean Baptiste DuSable Drive and Soldier Field on a Sunday would’ve taken us roughly two hours from our house given how screwed up traffic was then and is now. If they move to Arlington the thugs will now have to commute to do their nefarious crimes. The fans won’t be coming into the thug kill zone.
