Lightfoot is a pansy. She’s frightened merely by a guy driving down her alley several times, and has a battalion of CPD cops to protect her home. She’s not challenging the gangs, and she’s not spearheading the seizure of ANY ill-gotten booty. Where would she start? Go chase after some drill-rappers big-bucks recording contracts? Hey, that’s an idea. Go after the Daleys, Duffs, Pritzkers, et al of the Super Mob, the Big Big white-collar Ganstas? What an idea!

As long as she tries to do it in person I’m fully supportive. Go ahead Lightweight, barge into gang headquarters and tell them there is a new sheriff in town! We believe in you.

LL needs to consult with Justin Turdeau to learn how to really seize those assets. She must think these folks have big bank accounts.

Hmmmm……Does the asset forfeiture scheme rely on Cook County Courts? Is Toni supportive? Is this just another component of the circular blame game. When Lori wants something her enemies put it on top of the refrigerator out of reach.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
