Lori should offer the feds space in city hall to compensate for the loss! When the Democrats loose everything they’ll be so many feds in city hall they’ll be falling down the stairs. Economizes space. Lori had best move on this soon, the Democrats are knifing each other!

So someone can look into judges chamber? Here’s the fix. Put some shades or blinds in those sacred offices. Problem solved and it will be a whole lot cheaper. Knocking down those buildings would have had no impact on the potential 2004 truck bomb. In fact, it might have made it easier for the bomber. The building is far safer by magnitudes than the CTA which is carrying jurors who ride the public transportation for jury duty. durbin is only interested in spending scads of tax dollars in Illannoy, no matter how ineffective and useless the project is. When fellow senators were asked why no one takes anything Durbin says seriously, they responded, “you don’t know Dick!”.

Anything and everything that makes sense to Durbin is going to create problems. Why not clad the buildings in reactive armor, like a tank? They better do it soon, the clock is ticking. Hey Durbin; FU!

There are many buildings around the Federal Plaza.
How many of those other buildings will be demolished?
Are buildings in other cities around Federal buildings being demolished?
If not, why is Chicago’s Federal Plaza a unique security target?
What are the specific security threats directly from those 2 buildings and not the other adjacent buildings?
There’s something very, very strange about this story.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
