Midwest Central school district superintendent Todd Hellrigel said, "We elect our (school) boards to do this. If we don't need them, then why do we continue to have them? They said we had local control, but as soon as we exercised our local control and they didn't like what we did, they took that away. To me, that's pretty retaliatory."
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
