Madigan ends 50-year legislative career amid federal corruption probe – Center Square

House Minority Leader Jim Durkin’s office said the news "comes as no surprise" and that he's been looking forward to it. "Rep. Madigan’s autocratic rule over the decades has not made Illinois a more prosperous nor competitive state. Our state is in shambles – financially, structurally and ethically. Collaboration between the parties? The Democrats control all levels of power in Illinois and have no need to collaborate with people they see as violent white supremacists. The Democrats will gladly share the blame for their mistakes and nothing more
