The article includes a petition to sign demanding Balanced Budget Reform. And information on HJRCA 0047 Constitutional Amendment for a Balanced Budget, sponsored by Republican State Representatives Mark Batinick (97th – Plainfield), Margo McDermed (37th – Frankfort), and Reginald Philips (110th – Charleston). The bill is in the House Rules Committee, which also needs reform. Another reform – the rules to pass pension and retiree healthcare hikes should have been reformed 46 years ago when the pension sentence was added to the state constitution which implied such hikes are contractual and cannot be diminished or impaired, irregardless if the hikes… Read more »
