Man shot, critically injured near governor’s Gold Coast mansion – CWB Chicago

So far this year, 11 people have been shot on the Near North Side, which includes the Gold Coast neighborhood. That includes a Chicago police officer and a suspected burglar who exchanged gunfire near the Magnificent Mile  Jan. 8.
