In that sense you are right, but there are other matters on which their paranoia is simply irrational. They are hoarding contraceptives and crying about the end of iVF. Gay parents are going to lawyers seeking protections from having their kids taken away. That’s all nutty, but the fear is real among many, and many reporters and politicians are stoking it.

Crying about the “end of IVF” is particularly irrational because Trump has said multiple times that he is IN FAVOR of it and even wants health insurance companies to cover it!

A very small percentage of illegals will be deported. Simple logistics and due process will slow it all down. Leftist media will pick up all the sob stories and that will wear down some of the electorate. Deporting illegals is the right thing to do but it would take several years and maybe even decades to get it done. The illegals that lay low will be fine whereas the criminals will be on the priority list.

Forcing employers to use the already legally required E Verify and penalizing those who dont will eliminate many illegal jobs and the criminal illegals will self deport eliminating the bulk of these criminals.
