Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. What a moron she is.
She’s only a moron if you view her from the perspective of the legacy media. They’re obsessed with her. Her hyperbole is no different than 99% of the rest of congress shooting off their mouth with nonsense like they all do. I know she’ no saint – she’s an adulterer and she associates with the fringes of the conservative movement (Milo is an intern in her office). But she’s still on our side. And in this environment, with a slim 5 seat majority, I’ll support everything she does whole-heartedly. I support our side in this war.
