Mark Konkol: Pritzker Suckering GOP Voters Into Nominating His Preferred Opponent? – Patch Chicago

"A Bailey primary win turns the November election into an extension of a national culture war, rather than a verdict on the Pritzker administration's failure to give more than lip service and budget line items to distract from what's really wrong in Illinois. Our billionaire governor's administration lets down the little guy."

Who is the sucker? Really thinking Dems wanted Irvin and not Bailey because he hasn’t been paid for yet. Vote for Griffin’s guys if you want the mob rule to continue. Griff couldn’t take it so he dropped money on the way out of the door, laughing all the way. Why isn’t anyone talking about him investing $50 mil if he was leaving? You don’t decide in a day to move your company to florida when you live there already anyway. This wasn’t because Bailey is up in the polls. Then take a look at Kim’s followers who is up… Read more »

For a smart guy, Griffin got led around by the nose by political consultants and the Thompson/Edgar crowd, eager to spend and pocket his money, regardless of the outcome. Doing any due diligence by Griffin should have revealed all the well documented known Irvin liabilities. I understand the theory of running a black candidate, but are there no black moderate Republicans in IL? If not, cultivate some.

And that is why the only choice of an informed voter is LEAVE IL! Most have already left and the suckers remain behind. Reading Chicago and IL news makes me more and more glad we left just in time before the whole thing implodes.

The Left must be feeling the pressure of a good competitor to the current Illinois wrecker(Pritzker) now in charge of destroying Illinois!
True GOP voters don’t get suckered into anything!

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
