The health commissioner said she expects the city’s and state’s mask mandates will be removed at some point in the future — but that removal isn’t imminent since the Omicron surge is still so bad.

So, the cases remain high with the mask mandate.

Does that mean these number would be higher / significantly higher with no masks?

Or the masks have very little effect?

It’s nothing short of insulting that this woman is telling us what to do with our health/bodies.

My great grandfather died in the Battle of Albert on the Somme in 1916 for what?

My grandfather died on Sword Beach on June 6th 1944 as part of the D-day landings for what?

Come on sheeple. Take back your freedoms. We are an embarrassment to our fathers and forefathers.

We need an intervention God.

The only trigger than will get rid of these completely ineffective and highly destruction mandates will be primary opponents all promising to do the same. There’s a slight chance this could happen, or they could all just virtue signal themselves too, extolling the virtue of feeling better about spreading covid only to vaccinated people. I hope that when my uber-liberal shetlib 88 year old aunt, a total covidian 100x vaxxed, catches covid and goes on a vent, I hope she feels better about about it because she caught it from a fellow triple vaxxed covidian.

Side note-Does anyone know what this bill entails? Some sort of vaccination status database. Will we if passed lose more of our privacy? Not sure.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
