Mayor Brandon Johnson raises possibility of midyear layoffs – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

“Well, if the revenues do not match the expenses, that’s what’s going to trigger it,” the mayor said. “As far as individuals who could be laid off, I mean we’re talking about public employees, right? There could be real, serious consequences to workers who are attached to community safety.”

The low IQ Liar wasn’t going to raise taxes either, remember that one? Homie ain’t giving no fellow homies no pink slips. A janitor or two here and there for appearances, but no cuts to the + 150 security detail or losing any of his nine vice mayors or activists posing as legitimate employees or anything like that.

Interesting that the first time Mayor Pinhead even talks about the possibility of cuts is AFTER the budget was approved. And as others noted, when he talks about cuts, he talks about the ones that would be most painful to the citizens: police and fire, never anything about the bloated bureaucracy. I wonder if he’s going to hire himself out to Mamdani as an expert on how to ruin a city.

Typical politician response. You want budget cuts? OK, so we will cut police and fire personnel. They don’t support the mayor anyway. Nothing about cutting bureaucrats, CPS, and other departments.

Wondering if he will cut his 150 person Chicago police bodyguard/protection detail. Any bets?

Not a chance. Mayor Cliff Notes thinks a layoff is a day without fornicating.

Well, politicians are supposed to be like those that they represent, so… Given that logic, his approval rating would be 70% to reflect the number of fatherless households in parts of CHI.

Never going to happen. Never has, never will. These are all democratic voters and almost 100% of them vote every election.
