What Mayor Johnson defends as needed has been porked up for years to be job programs for unions and grift for the connected.
Definitely raise taxes. Your citizens so richly deserve higher taxes. They vote for it. They should get what they vote for. I would love to see taxes in Chicago and Illinois go through the roof. The full effect of their voting is not apparently getting through to the low brow morons known as Chicagoans.

“City” shouldn’t tolerate the inept racist governance of Brandon Johnson administration. Another day, another scandal. Another week, another budget-blowing expenditure revealed. There’s enough bloat in city department staffing to easily accomplish a balanced budget by simply removing all extraneous services beyond garbage pick-up, street sweeping and snowplowing, pothole repair, fire and police service, building permits and city licensing. The social programs, the “free cash” programs, the post-incarceration programs, the non-profit grants to minority churches and charities, Johnson’s 150+ police officer personal protection/babysitting services, the huge number of woke administrators added to payroll to advocate for progressive-liberal causes — all unaffordable… Read more »
