Mayor Brandon Johnson to testify before Congress about Chicago’s sanctuary city policies – Chicago Sun-Times

Mayor Brandon Johnson speaks at a news conference at City Hall in January 2024.“What we have to do is be far more proactive and dare to be bold and audacious and not just this obsequious type of response where we are responding as if we are in servitude to this administration. Proactive. Organize. Tell the story of the people," Johnson said.

All I see and hear is rhetoric bordering on Kamala Harris word salad level. No real solutions, just exhortation to be bold and audacious. Bold and audacious at what? Absorbing more taxpayers funds while producing nothing at all?

Johnson thinks his use of big words is profound. Is he related to Kamala Harris?

Gunna set my DVR for this performance. Anticipate his statements and responses to be as idiotic as he is and will embarrass the City of Chicago.

Here’s another article about New York’s mayor Adams wanting more money from the governor for illegal migrants. Funds are being cut to sanctuary cities and will be in a world of hurt very soon.

Mayor Cliff Notes should tell Congress what he thinks. The silence will be glorious and most welcome.

Sounds like Mayor Raggedy is getting ready to get all raggedy with Congress. I anticipate world salad and a main course of community disinvestment, along with a side of indignation and arrogance. I hope they give him everything he deserves.

A glance at his bill paying history should get him an appointment with “ Dr.” Jill or Dr. Pepper.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
