Mayor Johnson opposes 8 p.m. downtown curfew for minors – Chicago Sun-Times

“The data indicates that setting … arbitrary curfews does not yield results that are favorable,” the mayor said Monday. “For my administration, it’s not just about youth employment. … We have to create safe spaces for [young] people. ... The more activity that you have in neighborhoods, including downtown, that actually creates safer spaces."

Mayor Johnson is displaying callous disregard for a substantial voter-base, the law-abiding middle-class and upper-middle class living in Chicago who are frightened by the quite obviously increased rates of violent street-crimes and personal property crimes in their formerly “mostly peaceful” neighborhoods. In his effort to protect violent teens roaming Chicago streets in search of passive victims, he is tacitly endorsing what appears to be hate-crimes against other citizens. These teens aren’t robbing, assaulting, and wounding people because they’re “hungry”,or in need of busfare. Frankly, this street-crime violence is their perverted… Read more »

By all means, give the “ underserved “ a “safe space “( something that we used to call “ home “ or “ our neighborhood “ btw). Said area can then be avoided by those not seeking to be beaten senseless or have a miscarriage.

What ever, this will be an unenforceable law. The Police will not have the support of the City Council to do what is necessary to enforce it, so why bother. An Cerfew ordinance isn’t going to stop the criminals from heading into the City, they will know that the Police will not enforce it and do whatever they want. Need to vote Pin head out and change the law and order attitude. .

The Chicago zoo gets really wild past 8pm, just wait till they start handing out guns to curb gun violence in Chicago, just like the blue libtard cities do with drugs, they hand out free drugs to drug users to curb their drug use lol

Maybe what’s needed is a curfew for residents and tourists, for their own safety they need to be off the streets by sundown.

BJ is a gigantic white hating racist and wants to terrorize the white population as much as possible, yet the white population in Chicago is too dumb to realize the agenda and are just voting for their own demise

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
