Mayor Johnson plans to attend funeral of Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez despite being asked not to – CBS2 (Chicago)

In a video posted earlier this week, Chicago Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 President John Catanzara said Officer Martinez's family had asked Mayor Johnson and Gov. JB Pritzker not to attend. Catanzara said this had also happened with the funeral for Chicago Police Officer Luis Huesca—who was shot and killed back in April.

I wonder what the cops in his overly large detail are saying among themselves and whether anyone in the dept would tell him not to go. Goes without saying he should honor the family’s wishes and that there is no reason to stress them with this BS. The guy is oblivious, even so why all the bluster from him about going?

Move to a different venue. Start the service an hour early. Lock the parlor doors when his huge security detail pulls up ( leaving the side one open for legitimate mourners ). Do anything you can to keep this cockroach away.

Why should the family inconvenient themselves and everyone else. Arrest the scum for trespassing if he shows up. Or have someone knock him out. He won’t show. He is just being a complete ass.
