Mayor Johnson Proclaims August 30 as Chairman Fred Hampton Day – Chicago Crusader

https://chicagodefender.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2023/08/Black-Panther-leader-Fred-Hampton-Dirksen-Federal-Building-1969-Fair-Use.-.jpg Comment: Fred Hampton advocated for a violent, Marxist overthrow of U.S. government. He invoked the worst of history’s communists in the name of that cause, including Mao, Lennin, Marx, Che Guevara and Kim Il Sung. He chaired the Chicago chapter of the communist Black Panther Party. See our earlier column here on Fred Hampton in his own words.

But…Christopher Columbus was a racist and this guy is OK. Folks, people have to change this trend through the ballot box. These actions are just stupid. So many other things to focus on and they spend time on this crap.

I think the ‘facts of what Hampton said’ part of this are dwarfed by the fact that the ‘guvmn’t’ had him killed because of what he was saying.

Particularly with everything that’s going on now.

Nowadays I ‘trust’ the FBI just about in the same way that I suspect the average Soviet ‘trusted’ the KGB.

I wasn’t always that way. Articles like this one remind me of that.

Some people think Fred Hampton was assassinated during the raid by the Chitty of Chicago police. Years ago, police got out of their cars.
Free speech is something that is allowed in a free society. You do not have to like what he said, most do not. But he had every right to speak it. That is what makes America Great (not Trump).

But Trump can’t say what he wants … what about his free speech?

BTW: I’m not a Trump supporter, but fair is fair and right now Trump is being persecuted.

When the whites were running South Africa it was the most prosperous nation in Africa. Called the “breadbasket of Africa” producing essential commodities wheat, corn, soy beans from the hard working farmers who employed thousands of black workers. The ANC took control, seized white owned farms and ranches gangs killed many farmers and families, “kill the Boer” is still a popular slogan. The farms failed with fields left barren. Farm machinery stolen and sold for scrap. Ranches destroyed, live stock taken and killed off, buildings stripped and destroyed. This is what people like Johnson want to see happen. Fred Hampton… Read more »

South Africa has one-politcal party rule throughout the country. The ruling party is the ANC. While they are not outright communist, they share many policies as communists, and operate in that manner. The purpose of communism is to destroy the internal enemies of the supporters that give the ruling party power. Hence, the very rudimentary song/chant, Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer, is the unofficial policy position of the communist adjacent ANC, because the ANC controls South Africa because, at the most fundamental level, they punish the white people. The crazy thing is that the Boers have enough capital, wherewithal… Read more »

BJ feels that he lives in Chicago but he doesn’t share Chicago’s history. He believes his people’s history in Chicago has been one of oppression by the state, racism and discrimination. When he looks at Chicago, he doesn’t see LaSalle, Joliet, Burnham, Marshfield, Daley and Al Capone. They were all white people. BJ is a victim (and mayor, of course) and his history of Chicago starts when your white ancestors lynched his people in the Red Summer of 1919 (which by all accounts was no different than the riots the communities engage in every generation or so), and continues on… Read more »

The really crazy thing about this new Year Zero the progressives engage in, is that all of their heroes are victims. None of them did anything particularly noteworthy or great. By all accounts, many of them were really bad people, like LaQuon McDonald and George Floyd. But the new heroes of this religion are victims. Not even martyrs, like the early Christians had martyrs who produced great Christian material, and refused to renounce their faith. The progressive’s heroes are victims only in the sense that they did something really bad, got caught up with police while doing something bad, and… Read more »

He should be working with kids and giving out awards to the best of them in front of the others. Broadcasting the stories of kids that have made something of themselves would do wonders for Chicago. Young adults need role models and relatable examples.

Chicago Teachers Union contract demands are totally divorced from reality – Wirepoints

Details emerging about Chicago Teachers Union’s upcoming contract show just how divorced its demands, both extreme and expensive, are from the reality at Chicago schools. It’s not just about massive salary increases, but also about money for migrant students, climate initiatives, abortions and gender-affirming care. About blocking parental notification. Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Gov. Pritzker’s ‘ethics reform’ eliminates competitive elections and choice for voters – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
